FlowGuard pulsation dampers are specifically engineered to manage pulsations, pressure surges, & thermal expansion in pipelines.

FlowGuard pulsation dampeners use a small volume of gas, typically nitrogen, contained within a flexible membrane inside a non-corrosive shell. When a pulse from the pump occurs, the gas is slightly compressed. As the flow decreases, the stored pulse is released back into the line, resulting in a smooth flow and minimizing pressure fluctuations.

BENEFITS:

  • Eliminate pressure fluctuations and surges

  • Minimize vibration and shaking of pipes

  • Maintain a continuous, steady flow

  • Decrease noise in problematic systems

  • Reduce strain on pump motors and gearboxes in long pipe runs

  • Prevent pump over delivery

  • Avoid cavitation caused by inadequate suction conditions, long suction lines, and more

FEATURES:

  • Unrestricted inlet port (no poppet valve) for enhanced damping efficiency

  • Welded flange connections, along with BSP and NPT threaded options

  • User-friendly gas charging system

  • One-piece molded membranes (no glued joints) in all standard sizes

  • In-line (2 port) option available with customizable port orientation

  • Easily serviceable membrane that can be replaced without removing the damper from the line

  • Fully coded and approved welding, with 100% x-ray inspection available if needed
